Can You Make Your Own Hot Dog Costume? Yes. Yes, You Can.

Can You Make Your Own Hot Dog Costume? Yes. Yes, You Can.

The hot dog costume is a glorious way to pay tribute to your favorite food. But say you’re saving all your pennies for Ball Park Buns, and don’t want to buy one already made. No worries; we’ve got you covered, so to speak.

Here’s what you need:

  1. The bun: Tan clothes
Sweats are the comfy option here, but if you want to take it up a notch, you can go with khakis and a tan work shirt.
  2. The dog: Red felt

Get a piece that runs roughly from your shoulders to midshins in length and from shoulder to shoulder in width, then round the corners off with scissors.

  1. The mustard: Yellow fabric marker

You may be a ketchup fan, but for the sake of the costume, go with mustard. Use a yellow fabric marker to make a squiggly line down the center of your red-felt dog.

Put it all together by attaching the dog (once your mustard has dried, natch) at the shoulders and knees with double-sided tape. Now, don’t you look good enough to eat?
